Saturday was the 17th anniversary of my wedding. Yes, I've been married for 17 long years. I don't know how we've managed to stay together this long but we have. Go figure. My mom came over and watched MWH while Bob and I went out. We had a fantastic dinner at the restaraunt at the new casino in Wyandotte, I think it's called Twin Rivers. The portions are huge and the prices are decent. Slightly high, but who isn't anymore? I wish they'd lower the portion size AND the price too but oh well. We had a nice time out but I'm glad I only have 1 anniversary a year.
Sunday was Mother's Day and I did NOT get to sleep in. How fucking hard is it to NOT wake me up? 'nuf said
MWH and I spent the day baking. We baked a birthday cake for one of the attorneys I work with and then we baked little rounds for my mom and for me and MWH. They were sooooooo yummy. I made home made butter cream icing and we had fresh strawberries and ooooooooh my goodness, YUMOOOOOO!
Monday I took off work early so I could go to Tulsa with a new friend of mine, T, to go to a WLS support group meeting. I met some really nice folks and we all went out to eat at Cheddar's afterwards. I didn't get home until midnight but it was fantastic!
I took Tuesday off because I had a day coming since I worked on my birthday last month so I stayed home and did little to nothing. Ok, I lied. I watched "Because I Said So" on DVD and I slept. I did a little laundry and I slept. I cried and I slept. I did get out the ol' Rainbow and vacuumed the whole house. God my carpets are filthy. I need a new everyday vacuum.......
Wednesday I went to lunch with my new friend, T, and one of her not so new friends, B. These ladies like to play the ponies and I sooooooo did not know what was going on. I fear that I could learn it though. LOL I always thought you had to bet big on horses but oy vey was I wrong! They were betting $2 and $3 on a race and having a hoot and a half! I never did get enough guts to do it but maybe next time...... maybe.
Thursday evening MWH was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. I am so extremely proud of her!!!!!!!!!!! I asked a work client's son if he was going to be in NJHS and he said no, he wasn't being abducted. I nearly fell out of my chair. His dad slapped him up the head and said INducted, boy, NOT ABducted!! Then he muttered, no wonder.......... LOL HILARIOUS!!!!!!! After the induction we went out to dinner at my fav Mexican place and it didn't taste right so I threw it up 30 minutes later. Ah, life is good. LOL
I got home in time to watch the season finale of Grey's Anatomy and oh how I wish my life were like that. Who would I be most like? Ok, none of them, I have no desire to be that smart or skilled or talented. Who am I fooling?
Today Bob called me to tell me gas is up to $3.29 at Murphy USA. Hello, WTF? We will NOT be eating out this week. Not. One. Single. Time. PERIOD. Why is gas so high? Don't we have control in Iraq?????????
Well my lunch hour is almost over and I'm angry about the price of gas so I guess I'll get off here before I really get pissed off.
