So corny....
MWH is in 4-H again this year and Sunday they went to the Right Choices Corn Maze in Southwest City, MO.
We have been to a few other corn mazes but this one beat them all hands down! It's in a family run farm and they have so many different things to do, hay rides, cow train (sooooooo adorable), hay slide, corn cannon (shoots walnuts too), duck races, corn box (like a sand box), picnic area with tables, tire swings, a cave, hay jump... I thought it was really neat! The corn maze and the hay ride both had long and short trails, we took the long way for both. There were lots of photo ops and I forgot my camera! UGH!
All of us, Bob, MWH and I shot the corn cannon and MWH and I HIT THE BULLSEYE! Sadly, Bob did not. Now, that was sweeeeeeeeeeeet!! LOL I loved tormenting him about that. Actually it was pretty hard, not many people hit it and a lot of the hits were from bounces, both mine and MWH's though were direct hits. So cool!!
So, if you don't have plans take the drive and have some fun, it really was worth it!!

Things that go bump in the night...
Tonight I took MWH and some of her friends to the beautiful Coleman Theater for the Mystery Tour. The Tour is something that MWH has wanted to go on for years but you had to be 13 and since she will be in 2 weeks I decided now was a good time to go.
I know that the Coleman Theater is old and I knew it was a big thing here in NE Oklahoma, but I had no idea of the absolute grandeur that it truly is. We didn't even get to see half of it and it was truly amazing!
We started out in the concession area, which is not original and will be destroyed at some point to restore it to it's original glory. I hate to see the concession area go, but they do plan on opening a little diner type concession area south of the entrance, where the sewing machine shop used to be if you remember that. There, our first tour guide, Sally, told us about the history of the theater and to keep an eye on the web site for more Mystery Tour dates. It was then that she reminded us to spell theatre with an RE on the end rather than an ER because the ER one is a porn site. Lovely........ Is nothing sacred? LOL
We then moved into the main hall lobby. It was so beautiful, there are mirrors and velvet seats and new replicated carpet. The original mahogony woodwork still shines and is just amazing when you think how old the theater is. Some of the details work they have done recently is the gold gilding (is that spelled right?) on the woodwork. It's simply classic.
After Sally told us about the Coleman Brothers and their mining millions, she pointed out the pictures that are hung in the main lobby. These pictures are black and white and when you walk by the eyes follow you, the neck seems to turn, the face seems to shift...... Very creepy. There's more but I don't want to ruin it for you should you get to go.
Our next stop was through the auditorium and to the stage where our second tour guide was on the Mighty Wurlitzer organ. He had on a black and red cape and was playing like a mad man and I do mean that literally. LOL He had a mask on and definitely looked the part. He started his speil with a stereotypical vampirish accent and I really thought the whole thing was going to be corny, that I'd regret blowing my $10 there rather than at one of the local casinos. How wrong I was!!
We all sat center stage and heard his stories, he told us about Stuart and Abie and Mr. Roberts and Mr. Coleman and the dreaded Stage Phantom. He told us so many stories and I don't want to ruin it for you so you'll just have to go yourself. And, yes, we did hear and see some unexplainable things. Paper rustling in the balcony, keys jingling, balls bouncing, footsteps.... Then on stage we had a bit of a scare and one of the other tour-mates was lucky enough to catch a piece of the "disturbance".
From there we headed down into the green room and to the old orchestra warming up area. That was sooooooo cool! In the green room is a mirror that has a lot of history to it and the warm up room was so scarey! Larry turned off all the lights and we had some major activity going on, I swear the woman sitting next to me left a fingernail in my thigh!
After scaring everyone to the point where we all had to pee, we headed back to the lobby for a potty break. Next we went upstairs into the balcony where we had even MORE strange, unexplainable things happen! Stuart was sooooo active, or was it Abie?
In every different area we heard and smelled things and the temperature dropped like crazy and sometimes "it" was so close I didn't know whether or not to trust my gut instincts!
From the balcony we went down to the "sewer" area where the crematorium is and heard all the fantastic stories of bones and secret tunnels and saw something that was completely new to our tour guide. Very interesting!
Our last stop was back up in the lobby for a question and answer period and then we were done. It's nearly 1:00am and I'm so glad I got to go! So ready to do it again! If you are ever here in our neck of the woods, please, stop and do a Coleman Mystery Tour, they are definitely a lot of fun!!

Got snot?
I had dental work done Friday and I've just not been the same since.
I haven't slept well.
I have had a headache since Saturday.
Tylenol isn't helping.
Liquid loratab isn't helping.
I got snot dripping freely from my left nostril.
My right nostril is tighter than Fort Knox.
Even with all this, I'm still in a good mood.
School is out today and tomorrow, fall break, what the fuck is that? Um, didn't they just finish SUMMER BREAK? Don't they have CHRISTMAS BREAK coming in 2 short months?
MWH is having friends over again this weekend. I can't wait, we've got so much planned!! More later!

Copied
I stole this from Mrs. Coach who stole it from TheRealKid who stole it from someone else. Mrs. Coach thinks she looks like Herman Munster, I think she looks like Rachel Griffiths.

Plateau begone... finally!
Last month when I went to Wyoming for vacation, I don't think I really weighed myself before we left. While we were out there, I never over ate but I did eat out. A lot. I didn't weigh myself until I got back and I hadn't gained or lost any weight, which is ok considering how much eating out we did. However, after getting back home I got back on my routine and hadn't lost any more weight for a few weeks either. I was starting to panic. Granted, I was told that I'd have plateaus and periodic weight gain, each would follow with weight loss until I got to a comfortable weight. Yes, I've lost 90+ pounds and I'm tickled shitless over that amazing feat and I fully accept that if this is where my journey ends I'm ok with that but I had hoped to loose a little more. I'm still in some plus sizes, I wanna be in the normal, non plus sizes. Although I can now wear a normal XL t-shirt and let me tell you that fucking rawks.
So, a few weeks pass and I'm fluctuating at "5" (5 being the last number on the scale). I can't get below "5" and as I keep weighing in daily my scale tells me "6" or "8" or "7" or even "5" again, but I never can get below that damned "5". Hence, plateau.
Yesterday, I had some dental work done, major stuff I guess because they completely knocked me out. I really like this new dentist and trust him completely so I didn't mind being unconscious. I was concerned however with the amount of water that they let run down my throat. I mean my tummy is the size of an egg!! I'm not supposed to have more than 20cc of liquid. All the "what if" questions hit me. My bariatric nurse Nancy assured me it was all ok as long as my dentist knew my restrictions, which he did. I was still worried. Ok, I didn't worry after I took the two pills they gave me, maybe Tramadol I think but I could be wrong. So, to make a long story short, I woke up this morning, pissed like a race horse and weighed........
*drumroll, please*
and I did not see a "5" or a "7" or an "8". Not even a "6" or a "9" or the dreaded "0". I saw a "1". WHOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO! So, today I'm again tickled shitless at my amazingly wonderful shrinking body. Yes, the body with the stretchmarks and the sagging boobies with nipples that point in different directions and the fat left ankle (compared to the right) and the fat apron "pannus" in the front. I like my body.
My hair is another story, but we'll discuss that later.

shhhhh, it's late, everyone's tired... but me
Forgive me Father, for I have sinned. It's been 4 days since my last confession.
Ok, 4 days since my last blog post. Forget about it Father, I'm not Catholic anyway! LOL
My week has FLOWWWWWWWN by! I can't think of much blogworthy activity but I'll hit the highlights. Mrs. Coach and I had lunch one day, I can't remember which, but when she got back to work all hell broke loose for her, poor woman. Then, one morning I saw the eldest Divinity child after dropping off MWH at school. I've known this girl for several years and she's so quiet and shy, reserved really. I haven't seen much of her this past year but wow has she grown! She's becoming a lovely young lady. Anyway, back to my point. I saw the eldest divine one amid a group of her peers, she was smiling and engaging and just plain girly. She was happy, giggling and her friends really seemed to hang on her every word. I sat there alone in my Jeep waiting for the car ahead of me to move watching this pre-teen child and thinking to myself how much she's grown over the past few years, smiling inside at how happy she looks, and I realize I'm holding up traffic, I hadn't realized that the cars ahead of me had driven off. I was so embarassed, the eldest divine child never saw me "mom stalking" her so at least I didn't embarass her, but it was still pretty funny. A few weeks ago, MHS cheerleaders were selling Wardog wear so I bought MWH and myself some Wardog stuff. MWH wanted a short sleeved t-shirt, that's a given for her, and I got a long sleeved t-shirt and a pair of sweats. In the month or so since I ordered them, the pants fit me but the shirt is too big! WOO HOO! I freakin' love that!
I took off work early Friday so I could pick up MWH and her friends, Sally and Lily, after school for Sally's 13th birthday party. Her birthday was a week ago but her mom had promised her a sleepover party and due to her mom's work schedule and a broken pipe (meaning no water) she couldn't do it so I offered to let the girls have their soire here. Yes, I do crack. (Ok, no, I don't but I'm sure someone thinks I am for volunteering to take 3 seventh grade girls for a night of mall crawling and bliss.)
We hit the mall at 4:00 and Chuck E. Cheese beckoned with it's game room and cheap, crappy prizes. Actually, it was the $0.25 picture machine that drew me in but the girls just wanted to do it because they could and dammit, it was fun! We blew $15 in there on tokens and I never saved back enough to do the pictures so I just paid for the pics. I got 4 different poses so each girl could choose their favorite and then I'd have one left over for me. They all rock. Lily takes great pics, she's a classic, romanesque beauty, one pic has a come hither look and she was a bit embarassed by it. MWH, always the clown, has her tongue out or is doing something goofy. Sally, well, sally is just sweet in all of them.
After Chuck E. Cheese, we hit Old Navy and separated. I decided that the girls needed to be able to roam alone and after doing a quick speech on stranger danger and "private" body parts, I left the girls to their own devices. There I am again, me with the crack. LOL
Actually, I spent the time wisely, looking in all the jewelry shops in search of a pair of diamond solitaire stud earrings. Do I want certified or non-certified? What color, karat or clarity do I want? What cuts are out there other than round or princess cut? Do I want the insurance? I made it through all the jewelry stores and I was in Macy's when MWH calls me to tell me they're leaving Deb and heading to the food court. We've been in the mall for an hour and a half now and they've hit two stores. Old Navy and Deb. I nearly fell over. They were going to hit Icing and meet me in the food court. On my way back though I ran into a friend of Bob's with his wife and new 2 month old daughter, Avery. Oh. My. God. She is sooooooooooo adorable. She smells like baby!!! I miss that smell. That old, icky formula mixed in with diaper plastic and baby wash. It smells like heaven, simply heaven. So after much ooooooohing and aweing of the beautiful baby, I headed out again in search of the girls and I ran into a guy I went to high school with and he couldn't stop talking about how good I looked. His wife was getting a little pissed, she has always hated me, but it was so nice to hear him say he was proud of me and that I looked great. He always gave the best bear hugs in high school and he still does! He even picked me up off the ground a little!! That rocks! Off again to search for roaming girls and amazingly enough I found the girls still entranced at Icing. I went to Garfield's to reserve our table and to tell our server that one of my girls was having a birthday and I desperately wanted to emabarass her. We ordered and chatted and colored on our table, we giggled and talked about boys and boobs and the annoying children at the other table, we ate and drank and just when the time was right out came the entire Garfield's crew with our deserts and sang to lil miss Sally and I'm telling you the girl nearly climbed the wall she wanted out of that booth so bad! It was classic. Her mother would have loved it.
Our next stop was at Hot Topic where we hit the mother load! MWH got a goth outfit fit for a halloween princess and Sally got some awesome accessories. Lola is not a goth, Hot Topic kinda girl but I think she enjoyed looking at it all.
We went to Vanity and Rave and Journey's and soooooooooo many other stores. The girls found bargains and I was so proud of them with their purchases!! We weren't done when 9:00 came and the mall closed and we had to leave. We loaded our loot in the Jeep and headed next door to Kohl's and had 2 more hours of shopping, they didn't close until 11:00!! I went my way and they went theirs, after an hour or so I ran into them and Lola was dragging, she was tired.... We rounded up our last selections and headed out. Then they decided Braum's sounded good so we headed there!! It was nearly 1:00am before we got home! We had soooooooooo much fun! The girls crashed from exhaustion and here I sit. I'm not at all tired. I have successfully outshopped 3 teenaged girls. Wow! Now that is exciting!!
Ok, 4 days since my last blog post. Forget about it Father, I'm not Catholic anyway! LOL

TMI Tuesday (Rated RRRRRRR)
TMI Tuesday #51
1. Have you used put anything edible on your partner's body and then eaten it?
Gawd yes! Granted, all these acts were before my surgery. My favorite was chocolate. The other edibles were pretty much ice cream toppings like caramel and whipped cream!
2. Have you ever had an AIDS test due to reasonable suspicion or hyperactive imagination?
I can safely say no, I've been married for 16 years and I've never had to worry about that. Knock wood (pun intended).
3. Have you ever fantasized about someone else other than your partner while you were engaged in sex, oral sex, or mutual masturbation?
Ever? I'm pretty sure I have before but it's been a while! I find it terribly hard to believe that anyone hasn't at some point in time!
4. Have you ever engaged in sex, oral sex, or mutual masturbation while in a moving car?
Yes...... You ask that like it's not the norm.....
5. Have you ever had sex so many times or for so long that one or both people involved runs dry?
Oh, my, yes, guilty here too.
Bonus (as in optional): Fill in the blank: Eyes is/are sexy; Lips is/are sexier.

Your friendly ATM machine and it's many uses
What do YOU use an ATM for? Do you just use it to pull money out of or do you ever actually deposit money into it?
For years, I've seen the prompt where it asks if you're making a deposit or making a withdrawal and I've wondered why would anyone ever deposit money into an ATM. It's just not normal. Normal people use them to GET money, they don't use ATM's to GIVE money. Well, let me tell you I am normal and I'm now using the ATM to make deposits too. Why you ask? Why is because the people at Arvest are fucking idiots and I prefer a cold, mechanical ATM machine over a pasted-on, cheap smile any day. LOL
MrsCoach posted today that MamaKBear posted yesterday that her mother-in-law will be going in for brain surgery. She has some tumors and the doctors are tackling the biggest one first. She's asked us to all keep her and her family in your prayers and thoughts! Go by and leave her a comment, let her know your thinking of her!

Love Everybody
Yesterday seemed to be one of those days where I just couldn't find my groove, I hadn't slept well for a few nights and I was just flat out tired. The day was going well enough, given my sleep deprivation and allergies, but I just never could get my feet and my body going at the same time, until...
I GOT TWO VIP BIG & RICH TICKETS.
Yes, two, yes, VIP, and I got them for freeeeeeeeeeeee.
First, we were entertained by Candy Coburn. I have to admit I'm not an everyday listener of country music, I do like it, but I just usually listen to whatever is on and no one leaves my stereo on country so I rarely get to listen to it. I have been listening to country at work a lot, but I'm not "listening" well, just for the noise. Know what I mean? Anyway, Candy was pretty good once she got started, she had a fiddle player that rocked too. She played for about 30 minutes or so and then we sat there listening to what was probably a mixed CD for the 45 minute stage change. Two Foot Fred came out, at least I think it was him, I never did actually see him then, and he introduced BIG & RICH! They were awesome! Again, I really don't know a lot of their songs, really just Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy, Comin' to Your City, Holy Water and 8th of November, but they put on one hell of a show. I really liked Jalapeno and their Drinkin' 'Bout You song. There were fireworks and big screen tv's and bass. Oh. My. God. was there ever bass. LOL MWH looked over at me once and said "Mom!! My pants are shaking, everything is all vibratey!!" She was having such a great time!
After several awesome songs, Cowboy Troy came out and got busy on stage and rocked the house with I Play Chicken with the Train and My Last Yeehaw. It totally fucking rocked. All of it. I was a bit disappointed that he didn't sing If You Don't Wanna Love Me, but it was ok.
Big Kenny was so energetic, he was so full of WOW! John Rich looked amazing in his half black half blue rhinestone jeans. MWH and I both got T-shirts and I even went to Wal-Mart and bought both their CD's, Comin' To Your City and Horse of a Different Color.
I'm so glad I got to go!!

An apology
About two months ago I was involved in a little misunderstanding. Unbeknownst to me, there were a couple of reliable witnesses to this misunderstanding and it was pretty much agreed by all that I did nothing wrong. Anytime something like that happens though, I always second guess myself an worry and wonder if I really did aggrevate the situation or cause any damage. I was told I didn't but sometimes I can be a bitch and since I'm a worrier I just worried that I did. Well today my worries were swept away. The other party to the misunderstanding apologized and told me that she was sorry and that she just wasn't feeling well that day and that well, she's just a "bitch". Hey, who isn't? I even got a hug out of it to boot. Rock on.
And, if that wasn't sweet enough, I had just dialed a very important person on my cell phone just mere moments before this apology happened and she heard the WHOLE thing. Talk about sweet.
I was on cloud nine for the majority of the day. Until this conversation:
Numero Uno Friend: Wow, that's a pretty nice feather you got in your cap there! (meaning the apology)
Me: Yeah, it sure does feel nice, but you know, tomorrow is another day and I'll end up eating crow or pulling my foot out of my mouth soon enough so I don't wanna get too used to this feeling.
Yep, methinks I know my place. LOL

Welcome to the world, little man!
My newest nephew Daniel Aidan is here!
He was born at 5:55 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2006. He weighed 6 pounds and 6 ounces and was 17.5 inches long. He's doing well now but he had some breathing problems shortly after delivery and had to be life-flighted to another medical facility (bad cell connection so I couldn't get the name). He's adorable and has no hair and I can't wait to meet him!
My sister is doing well, she should be released tomorrow, Daniel should be released in a few days too.
I forgot to ask about my brother-in-law or my first nephew, Joey, but I'm sure they're both just tickled Daniel's here and that everyone is healthy.

God or Evolution or ???
My memories of religion are few but strong. My first religious memory is of going to a pink church with pink, decorated concrete blocks and crosses out front with two blue haired women, neighbors I think, who, in my mind, resembled the little old lady in the Tweety cartoons. These two little old ladies visit me in my nightmares and my thoughts often. These two little old ladies walked me into that quaint, quiet, peaceful church, walked me up to the altar and fed me lamb tongue, raw lamb tongue. At least that is what I remember. I can still feel the texture of it in my mouth, the cheweyness of it still makes my jaw ache, the smell still lingers in my nose. If that is religion, I want no part of it. I think I was 4 or maybe 5. I remember it like yesterday.
A few years later, my jerk dad was screwing around on my mom and his girl friend kept calling the house to see if he was home yet. My bi-polar mother knew something was up but couldn't put 2 and 2 together and she started to lose it, mentally. She had been going to a First Assembly of God church while my dad was gone and somehow, in her bi-polar mind, she thought it was the devil calling her and she had her first breakdown, I was 7. I remember hearing her scream at God asking why didn't He save her, why did He let the devil call, all this time it was my dad's fault.
Fast forward to about age 10, my cousin invited me to his church, First Baptist Church. He did the Saturday morning bus route. It was a weekly event where the preacher would get the congregation's youth and go to the elderly, the invalid and the other kids in town to see if they needed a ride to church Sunday. If the elderly or the invalid needed groceries or company they were helped, we did what we could, which usually was not much, but I remember going home feeling like I had done something good. We also got to have pizza afterwards and now that I'm blogging about it, I wonder if the pizza was what made me feel good or if it was doing the "Lord's work" that gave me the warm fuzzies. I don't know. I worked the bus route for over a year and was a very active member of the church. I was in 5th and 6th grade. I remember being in the Christmas program, my music teacher at school was also our music teacher at church so I had a good singing part in our pagent. I was saved around then too, as was one of the loves of my life...... but that's another story, one I keep close to my heart. This was when my grandfather died as well, I think I needed God then, I needed to know where he, my grandfather, was. That he was not gone, that he was still there for me. So, from grandpa dying to the Christmas pagent, to being saved fast forward to my birthday the following April. Every Sunday the congregation got up and acknowledged birthdays, so and so turned 86 yesterday, another lady turned 51 Monday, other kids celebrated birthdays, teachers, the preacher, his kids..... My birthday comes and no one acknowledges that I'm even alive that day. I turned 12 that Sunday and felt so alone. Alone in the house of God, alone everywhere I went. I'm still that 12 year old girl that no one noticed. I was wearing my best skirt and top, I even had on strappy sandles that day, it was April, the sun was shining, there was a slight breeze, I even have a picture of that terrible day. That day I was ignored. After a year and a half or so of doing the "Lord's work" I quit. I never did it to get anything out of it, but when I felt alone I stopped. Feeling alone while alone is normal, feeling alone while with a church group is not. That is another day etched in my memory.
That was age 12, I was in 6th grade, I was a peewee cheerleader.
When I was in 8th grade, 14 I believe, my half sister, Bear, came to live with us. Her mother had let a gay man move in with them and she found him and his lover and a bottle of baby oil on her free flow waterbed. I really didn't understand it all, nor did I really care about what it meant, all I knew was that my wonderful sister was going to be staying with me. She went to church, I think it was a presbyterian church, so I went with her, I'd have followed her into hell if she'd have let me. I had good memories of that church but then her mom kicked out the gay man and she moved back home, she stopped inviting me and I stopped going. It reminded me too much of her and her friends and reminded me of how much her friend loved her and I still had nothing and no one.
When I was a freshman, some of my friends invited me to their Nazarene church, that was fun but that was about the same time I really started driving a lot and I also started drinking about then too and going to church was just not all that interesting, there was just something missing.
Then I read an article about a 3.3 million year old girl. I've thought long and hard for years about this very topic, do I believe in evolution or do I believe in the bible? My mind grasps science, time altered our bodies to make them what they are. How could one man, no matter how superior, create this amazing world in 7 days? How could that one man's son's death mean so much to so many so many years later? Why do we pray to God yet others pray to Allah, are there really 2 (or more) Gods? Why do some religions believe that you have to believe only their ways are right? Why is everyone so divided on religion when it's supposedly such a great thing? How can two different churches opinions vary on the same good book? These are all rhetorical questions, I don't want them answered, I'd rather not know. My best friend is a Mormon, my oldest sister is married to a Catholic and several of my friends are Lutheran, Baptist and Christian Scientists, how can one of them be "right" and all the others be "wrong"? How can it be right that one of us will end up in heaven and not the rest?
I know that several of you are going to flame me for asking these types of questions, or tell me to get out my bible because the answers are there, tell me to get my ass into church, talk to a preacher, get psychiatric help...... I have so many questions and I just don't care anymore. It is what it is. My head believes the science, my heart wants to believe the bible. Deep down I think it's both, neither are 100% right or wrong.
A few years later, my jerk dad was screwing around on my mom and his girl friend kept calling the house to see if he was home yet. My bi-polar mother knew something was up but couldn't put 2 and 2 together and she started to lose it, mentally.
Do you know what tomorrow is?
Tomorrow is the first day of fall and hot damn am I ready for it!! And, if that's not great enough, tomorrow is supposed to be when my new nephew arrives! I'm so excited! My sis hasn't called me yet but she's going to the doctor today to find out if he's going to take him. I am so excited about planning a trip to St. Louis so I can see him!
Back to fall, beautiful fall....... The weather has been WONDERFUL! It's cool, crisp and wet, just the way I like it. Perfect sleeping weather, perfect work weather, perfect family weather. I want to go home and make a pot of chili (turkey of course) and bake something (with Splenda).
Tonight we got to MWH's Parent/Teacher Conferences and I doubt we'll have much time for anything else. That's fine though because I've got good TV on tonight, Grey's Anatomy returns tonight, which is up against another fav of mine, CSI, thank GOD for PVR and after those two gems I have E/R too! YIPPEE!
After we got back from Joplin Wal-Mart and Jim Bob's, Bob and I went to High Winds for our free play last night. We had a lot of fun, I didn't win but he did. He was golden, everything he touched spun red or whatever. He picked a pot with "70" in it and nearly spilled his beer! We played blackjack for a while, the dealer was our neighbor, Chance, and he was killing us! UGH! We let him use our mower and I think I may have to rethink that little agreement. LOL Bob and I both played, I think we each played about 10 hands and between the two of us we only won 1 hand, I actually hit 21. One of the women at our table was beyond drunk, her Oriental boyfriend was playing two hands (is that doubling down?) and he was doing really well, but his girlfriend wasn't. LOL She kept calling Chance Chase and it was totally pissing him off.
I gotta go back to the weather though, I'm so glad we're hitting fall, I love fall! I can't wait 'til next weekend and I can hit a football game or maybe we'll go camping or something. My head has been full of Christmas songs and I've already told the family to get me their lists or they're getting what I want for Christmas! LOL
Have you seen the price of gas lately? Oh my gawd, it's still going down! I don't want to jinx it though so I'll shut up about it, but how awesome is that?
On another note, Mrs. Coach, I'm afraid that we've got a conflict. I've been told that this office is strictly an OU office. I don't think they are completely against OSU, but I do think that I could be fired if I supported anyone other than OU.
More later, my cell phone is ringing......

Hump Day
I can understand why Wednesday is known as hump day but I just don't get why I say it. It just sounds dirty, I'm not a dirty girl, and yet I still call Wednesday hump day. Go figure.
I've got so much to blog about but so little time.
My sister may have her baby Friday. Another wonderful little boy. She'll know for sure tomorrow at her doctor's appointment. I think they are going to do a C-Section but, again, I suck at remembering details.
Cruella is still in therapy and miserable. I feel so bad for her. The ol' Cody Coyote nearly cut off his thumb working on his ATV and she's stressing over every thing. Relax babe, maybe you should take up drinking? ha ha ha
I worked a PTSO booth at Designs of Autumn Saturday and got sunburned. Being white is just not all it's cracked up to be (white meaning pale, not white as in Caucasian, because being Caucasian ROCKS and honestly I've never been anything else so I can't compare it; it is what it is). Back to my point, PTSO is raffling off this home made quilt for 8th grade promotion and we haven't had too much good luck in ticket sales yet so I'm stepping up and working it. Actually, there has been a whole drama going on as to whether or not it's PTSO's fundraiser or not but now that I've found out it is PTSO and not athletics I'm working it. I'm PTSO President and it's kinda my responsibility to see over things like this. There is still more drama to unfold but majority rules and it's all for a good cause.
After DoA, we went to Neosho and Joplin, Bob is thinking of getting MWH a new ATV. I'm thinking of another vacation, we'll see who wins. LOL Although, the idea of him and MWH being gone simultaneously is a damn good thing.
Sunday morning I woke to a text from the First Bitch (at 3:45am to be exact), wanting my famous no bake cookies. I'd been wanting to bake or make something so it was good to hear a request. Sunday I fixed no bake cookies, a turkey lasagne (yuummmmmmmmm) and baked chicken. I love lasagne but Bob hates left overs so I took 3/4 of the pan to work with me, it's Wednesday and we're still eating on it. LOL The cookies though, they are gone.
I also took MWH to the Coleman Theatre to see Fiddler on the Roof. It was pretty good. I had never seen the play or watched the movie before so I really wasn't sure what to expect. Shannon's son, Brady, was in it and he did a spectacular job! We've really got some talented people in our town. We even had a real, live TV and Movie star in it too! David Froman, he was in Matlock, The Edge of Night and 21 Jumpstreet to name some of his work, was in it and he was really good, you could tell he knew what he was doing.
My mom and I went to Ladies Night at Buffalo Run Monday evening, they started doing the Free Play at 6:00 so that kinda helps the crowd for now. I found a new machine and I did pretty well on it, I played back what I won but I had a damn good time and that's all that matters.
Tuesday MWH's glasses broke, the hinge snapped, and now I've got that to deal with today, I've got to go to Joplin tonight to get that fixed. Dr. McQuigg's office here in town tried to fix them but they're not repairable so now I gotta go to Joplin. It was sooooooooo nice of Dr. McQuigg's office to try, they didn't even charge me! They rock, I love hometown places like that. MWH even looked at the frames they have and maybe she'll get them there next year, maybe.
Now, onto a little meme.
1. Are you a fan of board games?
Yes, sometimes, I like the classics like Monopoly and Candyland. I play Yahtzee on my PDA too. I occasionally play solitaire on my computer but that's about it. I also have found a neat jigsaw puzzle site that I like to go to but I haven't got to do it this week, too busy. MWH LOVES games though, she always wants to play board games.
2. What's your favorite board game and why?
Probably Monopoly because I can remember as a kid how my sisters and my cousin and I would play "chip" Monopoly rather than strip Monopoly because we didn't know how to play strip monopoly and eating chips was more fun than taking off our clothes, we were young, so young. LOL We had a lot of board games though, I remember Scooby Doo and the Addams Family and so many others from the 1970's.
Yesterday was Talk Like A Pirate Day, so lets answer a few questions about that. I can't think of any more board game questions.
3. Blackbeard, Hook, Sparrow - who's your favorite pirate?
Sparrow, Johnny Depp wins hands down.
4. If you were a pirate, what would you name yourself?
Oh my, that's tough! I'm not sure.......
5. Uh oh! Someone's gotta walk the plank! Choose a celebrity you want to throw overboard (all in good fun, of course. We're not actually advocating for the tossing of celebs in the ocean).
It would have to be Paris Hilton. I just can't stand her. She's too blonde, too thin, too stupid, too slutty and too rich. She's just too everything. She should be gagged, beaten and forced to work at a Quiktrip for the rest of her life, oh, and her uterus should be removed because she does not need to reproduce, ever.

Back to life, back to reality
More song lyrics as titles. What has this world come to?
This morning I had to go to Bob's work for a physical, basic weight, blood work and blood pressure thing. No biggie. I'm just tired from getting up at the butt crack of dawn and driving all over town before a single cup of (decaf) coffee.
Yeah, life can be a bitch sometimes. LOL
I gotta tell ya, I have the best bosses. Sometimes I get tongue tied and can't blurt out anything but gobbledy gook, but one of the Wise Men has such a calming effect on me, he just smiles, and his speach gets a little slower and poof, my gobbledy gook makes sense. LOL Another of the Wise Men is just hilarious, he cracks me up. It's so nice to have good bosses, I've been doubly blessed in that department. Actually, both this job and my last job have had the best bosses in the world. No complaints from me. I really do love my job, the bosses are outstanding and the ladies I work with are truly amazing, no back biting, no competition, no pissiness or petty crap. The First Bitch really does a great job keeping us in line.
Mrs Coach had a unique meme so I am copying it from her, credit where credit's due folks!! Actually, she stole it too from her cousin who left it on his my MySpace board. Check out his answers too!

Home
We are home.
We left Cody Friday morning at 7:00am and headed East through the Big Horn Mountains. We went through the northern pass this time and didn't enjoy it as much as the southern pass last time. I didn't see any moose or bear or anything really impressive. I gotta remember to stay on the south pass next time.
We hit Deadwood, SD, and took a trolley ride to the downtown area. It was nice riding in the trolley, I saved some of the trolley tokens for souvenirs, they look like poker chips, way cool. We were going to spend the night in Deadwood or Lead but the Deadwood Jam was going on and we couldn't find a room so we headed to Rapid City for the night. We got a great rate on our room and went to bed early, we were exhausted from all the walking in downtown Deadwood! I swear we walked 3 miles!! Everything in Deadwood is uphill, no matter which way you walk, it's uphill! I gambled a little but didn't win anything, I like our machines here better, much better. You have to hit the bet one button before you spin, each time...... bet one, spin, bet one, spin..... Unless you're max betting and I didn't want to do that. LOL Ok, I did a few times because I got tired of bet one.... spin.....
As we were leaving Rapid City it started raining. It didn't stop raining until we got to Concordia, Kansas!!!!!!! All across Nebraska was rain, rain and more rain!! Bob was so sick of rain! We didn't see any wrecks or stupid drivers, just rain. We made it home at about 11:30 last night and it was so nice to be home.
Today we've went out for breakfast, bought groceries and rented a few movies, nothing major. Bob's napping, MWH's doing the last of her homework and I'm blogging. I was saving my posts to add pictures but I'm too lazy to do it now so you might get them next week. LOL

Today we've went out for breakfast, bought groceries and rented a few movies, nothing major. Bob's napping, MWH's doing the last of her homework and I'm blogging. I was saving my posts to add pictures but I'm too lazy to do it now so you might get them next week. LOL

The last day......
Today was out last day at the Fitzgerald Mansion in beautiful Cody, Wyoming. I could stay here forever.
Today, the boys went ATVing again and I went into town alone this morning and got the last of my souvenirs bought. I got Joey a "Who Pooped in the Park" book at the park yesterday and today I got him a t-shirt and a coon skin cap. It's probably too big for him right now but maybe my sister can put a stitch in it so it's not blinding him. LOL After I got back, we girls went to the Willow Fence Tea House and had a beautiful lunch. This Tea House is in a lady's home and is decorated so elegantly it's amazing. It's elegant and eclectic and simply someplace I could go to every day. After lunch we headed over to Patti Nails and got our nails done so very "youniquely". Patti is a flight attendant at the airport there in Cody and has a little shop there on Beck Street for her "down" time. She has a house out on the North Fork that she rents out during peak season for $300 a night! WOW! Can you imagine? Her hubby was there too and he's a riot, Patti talked him into giving her a pedicure and from what I can gather, he got some bonus points! She did my pedicure first and oh did it feel good! I desperately needed to shave my legs, I was almost embarassed, but I was on vacation!! The polish I chose was a shiny purple that is still so glossy it looks wet!! MWH got a manicure and her nails are a fantastic, earthy, deep, shiny shade of orange! Orange is the best color for her since she's so tanned. While Patti was doing MWH's manicure, I was looking at all the nail polish. I noticed that my polish bottle was different than the other OPI polishes and after further inspection I discovered that it wasn't just polish it was "pawlish". As in for dogs...... OPI makes several beautiful colors of dog nail polish. My toes are now "Mutt's New" and I'm damned proud of it. LOL Patti likes it because it dries faster and is non toxic for kids. It's also good for adults if you're one to bite your nails. I'm not but I thought it was freakin' hilarious that I got a pedigree pedicure!! LOL
After that we headed back to the house to meet up with the boys. We went back to the Irma for dinner and I was not impressed with the service. We got crappy service and Bob's buffalo burger wasn't fully cooked. Our waitress was horrible but I've been there several times before and it wasn't like that in the past.
We leave for home in the morning and I'm not happy about it. I'm having too much fun......

Yellowstone National Park
Yesterday we headed to Montana (big sky country) to go to Painter's Outpost for our "camping" experience. LOL I'm used to Girl Scout camping. Camping in soft sided tents, using latrines, fire for heat, sleeping bags, that kind of camping. This camping had bunk beds, baseboard heaters, hot showers, flushing toilets and coffeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Yes, they had decaf too, just for me. LOL
When Cruella was explaining the cabins to me, she kept saying how low key and rustic they were. Oh. My. God. They were heaven. I could actually LIVE in one if the chance ever occured! Granted, there was a chamber pot in the event of an emergency (the shower house was about 30 yards away) but who gives a crap? We were in the middle of Shoshone National Forest, there were animals everywhere, we were next to a beautiful stream...... need I continue?
We drove through Dead Indian Pass on our way to the cabin. The closest town was Cooke City, MT, and that was a really cool town! You can ride ATV's on the streets in Cooke City! That is heaven to my dear husband. Every ATV he saw on the road or parked at a business got a scowl and a few choice words. LOL We entered Yellowstone (the park) Tuesday through the Northeast Entrance through the Lamar Valley, Tower-Roosevelt and Blacktail Deer Plateau and went over to Mammoth Hot Springs where we saw a herd of elk, cows and calves, eating the grass in a camp site, there were probably 25 head in the herd and they were talking back and forth, we could hear the mommas talking to their babies, it was so precious. MWH really got a kick out of it!! Hell, I really got a kick out of it! Then in the center of Mammoth, ther were 4 other elk just lounging around on the grass. Two over by some houses and two more over in a grassy noel by the road. There was this little girl standing outside her house just watching them. Cruella walked over to take pictures and struck up a conversation with the little girl. She didn't care about the elk, she just wanted someone to play with. LOL Kids..... One of the elk was a spike bull elk, he was good sized but his rack was pretty small. We were within about 25 yards of them, that's truly amazing. Mammoth is near Gardiner, MT, so we headed out of the park and got some ice cream and hit the stores. I like Gardiner, it's a very cute little stop, the stores there are old and rustic and they have the kind of floors that creak when you walk on them. Teddy Roosevelt himself may have walked in those very stores I was in, history is so cool.
It was about dark so we headed back to the cabin (the same route only backwards) for the night. I loved the little cabin, I wish I had one in my back yard!
We got back up this morning and headed back into the park, this time heading south at Tower-Roosevelt towards Dunraven Pass and Canyon Village. Along that stretch we saw a cow moose and her calf, that was a fantastic find! There are only 400 moose in the park and we saw 2 of them! They were so beautiful...... I love moose. At Canyon Village they built a new visitors center and it was way cool! There is a sizemograph (sp?) there that shows the volcanic (or is it geothermal?) activity there at the park. There was some activity near Madison and Norris that morning just an hour or so before we got there! Can you imagine Yellowstone erupting while we were there? We'd all die, it's that simple. All of Oklahoma would see the ash from the eruption..... That volcano is huge. Period. Fucking huge. Upstairs there was a stuffed bison with a calf and MWH really liked that exhibit. She loves seeing the animals, dead or alive. LOL I like the mounts because you can see them close up and not worry about them charging you or anything. After Canyon Village we headed west towards Norris and Madison and out the West Entrance to West Yellowstone. West Yellowstone is near the Idaho state line and it's a beautiful town, we didn't get to do too much exploring since we had to be out of the East Entrance (towards Cody) by 8:00. We headed back to Madison and down towards Old Faithful (it wasn't erupting right then so we went on in search of bear) and did the whole lower loop through West Thumb and up to Yellowstone Lake (enormous and simply breathtaking) and Lake Village and up to Fishing Bridge for souvenirs and a potty break. We made it through the construction at Sylvan Pass with enough time that we didn't need to worry about getting trapped in the park. There was a bad slide at Sylvan pass a little over a year ago, you can still see the rocks and the work they've done there is incredible! We headed back through Shoshone National Forest towards Cody and made it back to town for dinner at Zapata's. I had the best sour cream chicken enchilada!! I wish our Mexican restaraunts were more like Zapata's. We went back to the Fitzgerald Mansion and we're all ready to crash for the night!

Crikey, so sad. Rest in peace, Steve Irwin
Steve Irwin has died. He was one of the greatest people of our time.
I don't want to depress myself on his passing so I'll stop here on the Irwin loss. I'm on vacation and I don't want to bring myself down.
I don't think I blogged about Cody yesterday, no time, we were sooooooo busy. Saturday, the boys went ATVing and the ol' Cody Coyote totalled his ATV going down a hill. Not just any mere hill, it was on the switchbacks, a very dangerous and extremely difficult trail. The ol' Coyote was in the lead up the hill and Bob took the lead coming down, I'm not sure what happened, loose gravel or what, but it slid and the ol' Coyote hopped one way and the machine went the other way falling down to the next switchback level. It landed upside down, the handlebars were smooshed and a lot of the plastic molding is broken. The boys tore it apart last night and it is fixable but it'll take some good money and a lot of time.
While the boys were out tearing up their toys, we girls were shopping. We hit all the shops downtown and had a blast!! We had lunch at Buffalo Bill's Irma Hotel and I had potato soup and it was the best I'd ever had! So rich and soooooo creamy. I swear I could have eaten a gallon of it, well, if my stomach were bigger than an egg. LOL We also went over to the dam for the tour and I got MWH a National Parks Passport. Why didn't I get one before? We travel so much, why is this the first time I've seen one?
Yesterday, Bob, MWH and I went for a drive towards Yellowstone. We didn't want to go into the park, just along the Shoshone National Forest to look for animals. We didn't see much, just a few mule deer and some black tail deer, but the scenery was breathtaking (as always). Yellowstone is about 52 miles from Cody so it's a nice drive. We drove up some side roads too to go off roading, one of the roads was near Buffalo Bill's Boy Scout Camp and it was pretty cool, we had to drive through a creek bed and that was awesome. There were grizzly bear signs at all the camp grounds!! Someday we'll have a hardsided camper that we can bring up here to camp, someday..... There is definitely no tent camping in grizzly country!!
We drove up Spirit Mountain near Cody, it had some tight switchbacks on it too, Bob loves to scare me on the edges, they are straight down, scares the shit out of me!! But I did manage to take some pictures from the top and good grief we were up there!
I'm not sure what we're doing today, it's Labor Day and I'm sure the traffic downtown will be crazy, not sure what all stores will be open either. I just know I'm having a blast. Tomorrow we're going to Painter Outpost near Cooke City and staying in a cabin and going to Yellowstone Tuesday and Wednesday.

4 Month Anniversary
WOO HOO! It's been four months today since my gastric bypass surgery. I've lost more than 85 pounds! I don't know exactly because of scale changes and recalibrating and the like, but I do know it's AT LEAST 85 and in reality I think it's about 10 pounds more but I'm fine with the least loss, I am tickled shitless over the loss no matter how little. I haven't lost this much in years and I feel so good. I bought some cute Tink pajama bottoms at Wal-Mart, size 2x (18/20) and really they are a bit too big. I'm still stuck in that mind set of buying things a little too big just to be comfy (especially pajamas), incase I balloon up, but I'm getting better, I bought a pair of jeans at K-Mart and they are a bit tight but I like them and I know that it won't be too long and I'll be looking for a belt for them!
On a Cody note, I absolutely love, love, LOVE Rocky Mountain Mudd Espresso!
They have these little coffee drive-thrus all over Cody called Rocky Mountain Mudd Espresso, we call them Mudd Huts. I LOVE THEM! They can make me anything I want in decaf and sugar free. Mudd Huts ROCK! I swear I'm drinking nothing but Mudd Hut drinks this trip, they are simply to die for.
One disturbing thing I discovered today though, they do NOT have Red Diamond tea here. That could seriously deter me from EVER moving here. LOL Actually, I can't have caffeine and since they don't have decaf Red Diamond it really doesn't matter, but someday I'll be able to have a little caffeine and when I can it will be Red Diamond Splenda sweetened tea.

Relax, don't do it...
Who sang that 80's song? I'm on vacation and it just seems to resonate through my head. Relax, don't do *insert work here*. I'm so glad to be here, so glad to be able to relax, so glad to have such good friends and tickled shitless to have such fantastic bossmen who are letting me take my vacation!!
Dinner last night was soooooo good. We went to the Texas Roadhouse in Billings and Bob had the best looking prime rib steak dinner, it looked amazing. MWH and I shared a portabello topped chicken breast and oh. my. god. I can still taste it (IN A GOOD WAY!). They have the best rolls there too, yeasty and sweet.
While in Billings, we hit Costco and got some supplies and MWH got some new flannel pajama bottoms, they're so cute! I don't remember where, but she also found some POTC (that's Pirates of the Caribbean to those of you who don't know MWH speak) pajama bottoms and she is, well, excited and happy just don't cut it. LOL I also found me some Tink pajama bottoms and they are adorable. Hell, I'm adorable in them. LOL
Today we're going downtown and hitting the stores, maybe taking in a movie or going horseback riding. I'm not sure really, I'm too busy relaxing this morning.

Happiness is a crock of beans
That saying is a crock in its self. Actually, it is something we saw on our drive through Colorado yesterday. Along with the words was a picture of a cowboy cooking a big, giant crock of beans. Yummmm. It's cold here and a big, ol' mess of beans sounds so good, I think they'd hit the spot right now!
We've made it to our vacation destination of Cody, Wyoming!! We left Miami, OK, on Wednesday at 6:00pm. We packed and loaded the Jeep up Tuesday so we were ready to hit theroad! Luckily, we hit very little traffic and absolutely no weather on the way. Nice. I couldn't have asked for a better trip! We hit Cody about 7:00 last night (Thursday) and went out for dinner at the local Chop House. Bob had a massively thick pork chop, MWH had a pot roast sandwich that made me drool, it looked sooooooooo good, and I had crab! YUM-OH!!!!!
I can't wait until tomorrow!! We're going shopping here in town in the morning and to Billings, MT, in the afternoon for more shopping and dinner at the Texas Roadhouse! WOO HOO!

Whiney Wednesday
I really don't have any reason to whine, gas prices are dropping, I've lost about 90 pounds in less than 4 months, my ingrown toe nail is no longer hurting, but I'm gonna anyway, just 'cause I can.
* My new Bali bras are rubbing my perky, lacey, lifted and separated boobies. Now my boobies are sore and perky, lacy, lifted and separated. I guess this is normal, I've never, ever, ever worn a bra with an underwire in it so guess I just need to toughen up some.
* My kid is taking Pre-AP classes and some of her homework is already over my head. Well, that's not right. Her opinion and my opinion on answers differ. Her opinion and my opinion on the QUESTIONS differ. I guess there is more than one way to skin a cat.
*I know I have more to whine about but I'm outta time.

Too Much Tuesday
I know it's only Tuesday but I just really feel the need to bitch. I've just put up with too, too much shit today.
This morning while I was taking MWH to school, an idiot had his turn signal on but never turned. I tried to pass him and he changed lanes abruptly and swerved into the lane I was passing him in, opposite of which he was supposedly signalling for. Grrrrrrrr. Then, after I dropped her off, I was behind another fucker who got his license out of a Cracker Jack box. He was an OU fan and had the car to prove it too, it was all crimson red, had the OU stickers and an upside down OSU steer horn sticker to boot. The guy was probably only 20 but he was driving like he was 90. I had to pass his slow, sorry ass too. I really did wake up in a good mood today I just don't get it. Why is it that when I want to be in a good mood, sorry assed fuckers out there just piss me off?
So then at lunch I head to town for errands and this nut job walks out in front of me going down Main Street. We're no where near an intersection, no one is behind me or coming towards me, but this idiot walks out in front of me and stops in the middle of the street. I swear, he had to be some sort mentally challenged person. God bless his soul but I almost ran him over.
I was leaving one of my lunch stops and a man was walking in carrying a package, a really big, nicely wrapped, ribboned, embellished gift. I held the door for him and I said "nice package". He set the package down and immediately grabbed his crotch and said something to the effect that he was checking to see if he had his pants on! I nearly fell over laughing so hard! He did have his pants on and I was not commenting on his "other" package, just the wrapped gift he was holding in his hands.
I just can't wait to see what happens tomorrow. Every day is just one big laugh after another!! LOL

Murphy's Law
Why is it that on Fridays the weekend looks so good but on Sunday when you look back you think "Weekend, what weekend?"
When I got up Saturday morning I was not feeling well, not sure why, just not my normal Saturday mornin' goooooood but Bob wanted to go to Joplin and JC Penney's was having a bra fitting event and I hadn't been fondled in a while so I threw on my shoppin' shoes and I went to and got felt up by a complete stranger half my age and bought myself some new Bali bras. Now my boobies are lifted and separated and lacy and shaped up where they belong. I got one hell of a good deal, they were doing a buy 2 get 1 free special to begin with then Saturday morning they were doing Doorbuster sales where all Bali bras were 50% and, to make it even sweeeeeeeeeeeeter, they had in store coupons for $10 off $50 off so basically I got 6 bras for less than $49.50 plus tax. And, if that weren't good enough, the Bali bras had a special coupon with them that if you bought 2 you got 1 free through the mail so I have 3 more coming! WOO HOO!
After that we went home I still wasn't feeling any better so I took a nice, long, hot bubble bath and rested a bit, then we went to Handyman Kev's 39th Birthday Blowout and played volleyball and horseshoes and ate a great picnic meal and had sooooooooo much fun. I still wasn't feeling right but we went to the fair and tried to have a good time before the rain came. MWH took a friend and they bought the wrist bracelets, big waste of money considering the rain came and they didn't get to ride as much as they wanted, but oh well, she had fun, that's all that matters.
One of my co-workers was selling her dining room table this weekend so I bought it from her and took my old one to her garage sale and sold it so now, for a mere $10, I have a nice, new, beautiful farmhouse table that seats 4 and is just the perfect size for my wonderful little family. MWH and I played Sorry on it this weekend and we even shared a meal or two there already, lovely, lovely, lovely..........
Sunday I didn't hardly get out of bed before 2:00pm because I was still not feeling well but I did get up eventually, vacuumed out the Jeep and I think I even went to Wal-Mart and Marvin's for a few things, I don't remember much other than just blahhhhhhhhh. I threw up a little and that helped but not much. Sunday night we watched the season finale of Deadwood. So sad that's over with now too. What am I going to watch this fall on TV? I guess I'll break out my Buffy and Angel DVDs and watch them again. I sure do miss Buffy, she rocks.
It's Monday and all I can say is THANK GOD IT'S ALMOST OVER! Today has been insane! It started last night when the First Bitch (that's her self proclaimed title) called me to let me know one of the Wise Men had called her to tell her the ceiling had collapsed in the office and that water and ceiling and building gunk was all over. Great........ This building is oh, 400 years old, and it's got some nasty gunk in it. I know I have a mushroom growing in my left lung because of the water leak in the hall, now it's 15 feet closer and my right lung is trembling with fear. When I got to work though, it wasn't as bad as I had envisioned. Just some brown water on the floor and a sagging ceiling tile. It's amazing how you think things are so bad but in reality they sometimes aren't nearly as horrible as you think.
I'm going to spend the rest of my day thinking positive. POSITIVE dammit, POSITIVE!!!!!!!

Spiders, Elections and Dreams
There are few things on this earth that just scare the holy shit out of me and spiders are one of them. Spiders are usually smaller than my hand, I've never personally seen one larger, but there is no way I can touch one to kill it. I've tried. It's like some primal response for me to start then chicken out at the last second. I was loading the dishwasher yesterday and when I went to get the dish gel from the sink cabinet I saw a huge, ginormous, man eating spider. This fucker was huge. He had stripes down his back like a fucking chipmunk. I'm serious, he was some sort of inbred spider / chipmunk freak! His body had large compartments, large, hairy fucking segments. I pissed a little when I first saw him. Then I quickly grabbed the Windex and tried to smoosh him, which did not work as planned. He disappeared, I pissed more and had visions of this man-eater attacking me in my slumber, getting in my clean laundry, lurking in my dishes just waiting for me to approach...... He did NOT have a kind, comforting Steve Irwin voice, he had a scarey, dark, sinister Vincent Price / Orson Wells kinda voice. Damn, I've gotta pee again now just thinkin' about it. *shiver*
Ok, I run to the laundry room 'cause I know there is some Raid ant killer in there, and dive on the floor hoping it was on the baseboard and I could begin my slow, painful death of this insidious creature........ Eureka, he was hovering below the lip on the counter, I was right! I sprayed with all the might I had, peeing more and more with each second passing. He took off running across the kitchen, barely missing the yellow streak to my left. Finally, the sweet poison worked it's magic and the beast slowly and painfully fell mere millicentimeters to the ground...... I swear I heard a thud as he hit he was so big. I quickly put a crock pot lid over him incase he was just playin' possum and left the room to find some dry pants.
After I had donned fresh undies, I retuned to find that my prey had indeed succumbed to the Raid shower I had bestowed upon his hairy, mutant beast.
Ah, big sigh..... I did it, I killed a spider. A spider so big he could have possibly eaten me alive. I killed it single handedly and man-less. I was (and still am) so proud of myself.
So, you may ask, why was I hope in the middle of the day while I should have been at work? Ah, good question.... I was off because my bossmen rock. They know how to treat us goooooooood. I had a day to myself. A day like no other. A day of pure, unadulterated joy. Ok, well, maybe I had about 8 minutes of something pure and slightly joyful. hahaha I had the day off because of a local election. Don't ask me what we were voting for, I'm not political, I have no idea, I just know it's a day I get to have to myself and those days are PRICELESS.
My last blurb is about a phone call from my beloved sis. She called me first thing this morning asking me if I'm ok. Um, yeah. I think so. I did a quick wound check all over my body to see if maybe she knew more than I did, sometimes sisters are like that, even if they're 300+ miles away. I had no head wounds or open sores oozing red, icky blood so I told her I definitely was ok. She said that that was good news, that she'd had a dream about me and I wasn't so good. She'd dreamed that I'd had an affair with a guy named Chuck (yeah, that's a name I wanna scream during sex) and that Bob had found out about it and had run me down and made me go off the road in my car. Ok, normally I'd laugh this off but I have had a dream for about a week now that I'm lying in a field and I've just been through a wreck. It's dark, I can see a car's headlights and I can see the tires spinning because it's upside down. I can hear the music on the radio. I can hear voices but I can't turn to see where they are coming from. I can taste metal and blood in my mouth. I can feel sticky blood on my head, body and torso. It's so vivid that when I wake up I can still taste the blood in my mouth. Talk about freaky. I don't know why my sis dreamed that, nor do I know why I dreamed that, all I know is that I'm not screwing around, I only know 2 Chucks and one is in New Hampshire and while I do simply adore him, he's just not my type, not to mention he's like 1700 miles away and the other Chuck is too old for me. LOL (that's my nice way of saying, ewwwwwwwwww)
So now I'm going to brace myself for the drama of tomorrow. I can't hardly wait for what's gonna happen next.

I'm so ready for summer to be over.
I am so wiped out after this weekend, good grief. All we did was run! Friday my Jeep went into the shop to get the rear end looked at, we thought it was a minor thing with the drive shaft or differential or something, most of the Libertys we've driven all did it so we didn't think too much of it, but it turns out they are completely replacing the entire rear end. I guess you could say I'm getting an ass lift. Hmmmm, I like the sound of that. LOL It was supposed to be done by 5:00 Friday but that didn't happen so we were down to just the Hemi..... That can make for a long, long weekend.
Saturday morning we were up way before the butt crack of dawn setting up our garage sale. I have lost so much weight none of my old clothes fit. Plus I've had crap accumulating since our last garage sale so I just had to get rid of some clutter. We did ok, almost $200 profit and really didn't sell anything that we will miss. Just junk.... I had one lady come and buy $84 worth of my clothes! WOW! $84, that is a lot of clothes! This is the second or third time in the past year I've cleaned out my closet, the first time I've made any money off of it though. WOO HOO!
After the garage sale, we went to Joplin and I hit a few sale racks and got a couple shirts and then went to Kohl's where I hit the mother load. Ok, maybe not the "mother load" but I went in searching for some black pants and I found them, the perfect weight (for summer or fall), the right size and the perfect length, they were on sale for $10 from $44 but when I went to check out they were only $2.50! I nearly fell over, I wish they'd had more!!!!!!!!!!
After the shopping trip we hit Logan's Roadhouse for dinner, yum-o, they have the best rolls. I had a bucket of shrimp and could barely eat enough to justify buying it, Bob had to finish it. Hmmm, I guess that's one of the drawbacks to having gastric bypass surgery. LOL Well, one drawback..... Another drawback is the bitches you once thought were your friends talking about you behind your back. Grow up! Yeah, I had the surgery. Get over it! If you had half a brain you'd look at your insurance policy too and do it. I was (and still am) fat. Supposedly it's been said that "no matter how much weight I lose I'll still be a bitch", well, thanks, but I'll be a thinner bitch and you'll be a fat, backstabbing, lying, manipulative, self-centered, immature, hateful bitch. ha ha ha ha ha ha Why are women like that? GAWD! UGH!
Ok, off of my rant there....... After Logan's, we went back to The Swimmin' Hole for a night swim. That was sooooooooooo fun! We were way too tired to do it, but sometimes you just gotta. LOL Sunday we didn't do a whole lot of anything, just rested and piddled around the house.
Have you all noticed it's nearly September? Holy crap!!!!!!!! I'm telling you, this year has just flown by! Sometimes I feel like I do too much, I've cut down on a lot of the "extra" stuff I do but it still seems I'm spread thin. Things like blogging aren't nearly as fun lately, maybe it's a slump? There are things I want to blog about but don't want to because it might hurt someone, not that I care though really, I just don't want to air my (or their) dirty laundry.
I'm off Tuesday and it looks like I'll be filling my leisure time with all sorts of activities, no rest for the wicked, eh?

Oh.My.Gawd. of the day
One of my oldest, bestest friends from high school is in need of some sex. She hasn't had it for about 3 years and she's a little stressed. The woman is old fashioned and has some traditional thoughts on men and dating and such. She believes it's the man's place to ask the woman out. An old boyfriend from high school that she has remained friends with for the past 15 years has recently moved back to her town and is getting divorced. Everyone keeps asking her if he's asked her out yet, to which she replies (sadly) no. Then everyone asks her WHEN are you going to ask HIM? Basically she blushes and balks at that.
Right or wrong, it's her opinion and I agree that it's her decision to make. I personally think she should ask him out and jump his bones but she refuses to do so.
So, today, she im's me this: (names are protected for privacy)
HER: You can stop asking me for E's number. Seems my friends here got my cell phone some time ago and got E's number and then called him! I am so embarrassed! The one who called him just said that when he is ready to date she thinks that I would be interested. You talk about a PUSH to get back out there and date!!!!!!! The skinny of it is he is going through a divorce is unsure of what he wants and we are just really great friends. I can live with really great friends. So, to answer your question E and I will not be going out.....he just likes to flirt with me. The impression and consensus is that he sees me as someone to be more serious with not someone to just go out and have fun with. I seriously underestimate all of my friends.
HER: They are bound and determine to get me dating if it is the last thing they do!
ME: oh my gawd, that crosses the line!!!!!!! I'd never steal your cell and get the #!!!!!!!!!!!
HER: Yep, I told them my cell will never be left unattended again!
HER: of course, there is no one else in there they could possibly call!
ME: lol that's funny
ME: I am so blogging about this conversation!!

Happy Birthday!!!
Today is my sister's birthday! WOO HOO! I'm not telling how old she is because she'll come down from St. Louis and kick my ass. LOL Ok, she probably wouldn't considering that she's 8 months pregnant and ready to pop and she's not supposed to leave home because her kidneys are failing and she's having contractions. Her son started school this week and she may actually get a little rest now!
So, Sis, may your day be filled with joy and happiness, your cake be chocolatey and ooey gooey and rich and your presents be diamonds and platinum!
I love ya!

Bitch of the day.
I know I'm not the only parent out there who has is tired and sore today. I'm tired because I was out late last night looking for school supplies that I SHOULD have bought a month ago but was unable to simply because the school doesn't have the schedules ready or have the open house early so that we can meet with the teachers BEFORE school so we can get our supply lists. When you get to Middle and High Schools you don't have a "generic" list like grade schools do. I'm sore because during my trip to Hell (some of you know it as Wal-Mart), a woman repeatedly kept running into my ankle with her cart. Repeatedly is an understatement. She did it on the binder aisle, then on the notebook aisle, then again near the dog food where I should have been safe but the damned woman sneaked up on me! She got me again by the markers and the last time I heard her talking on her cell and I jammed my hand out behind me and ran her own cart into her big melon shaped belly.
I already had a sore on my heel/ankle because my weight loss has made my shoes too big and now I have blisters on my heel because I wore shoes rather than my flip flops to work yesterday. Whine...... Oh well. LOL
I saw Brady and his Mom there too, they were shopping for supplies too. She had a bit of a glazed look on her face, I really think it was overwhelming!! They were out of so many things, I kid you not, they didn't have one single piece of loose leaf notebook paper! We left and went to Walgreens in search of some but they only had College ruled, MWH likes Wide ruled so we went to Marvin's this morning and sure enough there were 2 other parents there buying the same thing! Good grief. GET ORGANIZED!!!!!!!!!! It's not like they have an entire summer to plan for this crap!

7th Grade
My precious wonderful amazing baby girl started 7th grade this morning. She Veeted her hairy legs and donned her new Old Navy pleated mini skirt and lemme tell ya, she had her fash' on. LOL She was happier than, well, let's just keep this PG since I'm talkin about my kid. LOL
I, on the other hand, am at work. Today is great, all 3 wise men have made appearances today and things are going pretty smooth. Days like this are awesome.
Last night we went to MWH's Open House at her school. It rocked. She met with all but one teacher (better than last year) and got an idea of what supplies she'll need. She's excited about her locker, it's upstairs, and also that she has a few classes with friends. She also gets to chew gum in most of her classes. She did a MAJOR WOO HOO in front of each teacher who said gum was ok. Actually, most of them said "it stimulates the brain and aids the thinking process..." ok, whatever, she gets gum. Hello Orbit, please clean my kid's dirty mouth. LOL
We also went to get her new glasses last night. They look awesome, they're pink and "contemporary" and fitted with groovy Transitions lenses. Yes, I may have to sell a kidney or some other vital organ on Ebay to pay for them, but they are awesome.
Bob and I went to Buffalo Run last night for his free play and I put $3 in a One Red Cent machine and pulled out $25. I like nights like that. I did good.
Last week, my oldest half sister lost her mom. She had fought COPD for some time now and was in a great deal of pain. It's always sad to lose a loved one but I'm glad she's not in any more pain. I just hate to see my sister and her siblings suffer.

Lubriderm Advanced therapy
Don't ask me why I used that as the title, I couldn't tell you. I just sat down here to check my email and decided to blog. I put some lotion on my dry skin and poof. Title. Now my blogging fingers are moisturized by a lotion that
is for extra dry skin,
contains vitamins and nutrients,
is developed by dermatologists for healthier skin and
has a clean, non-greasy feel.
Yeah. Whatever.
Forgive me, Father, it's been 6 days since my last confession, er, um, blog post.
I can't tell you much about this week, it's just gone. I knew early it was going to be a bitch and dammit I was right, just one of those gut feelings you get I guess. Women's intuition, a premonition, no idea, I just knew I'd be lucky to survive it. My gut was so wrenched up I didn't do Free Play on Tuesday. Yeah, that bad.
Wednesday was insane and I found out a dear, dear friend of mine has melanoma. By the end of the day my head was pounding and I was ready to drink myself into a stupor but my alcohol restriction has another 9 more months. I just don't know if I can make it. LOL Thursday I took the day off to enroll MWH in 7th grade and I had to work the PTSO table at enrollment. That was fun. NOT. No one wants to be involved. Everyone is pissed over the way things ended last year and I don't know who's ass to kiss. Ok, so I wouldn't kiss anyone's ass even if I knew who's to kiss, but it would be nice to know who people are. There were at least a half dozen people came up and said they were NOT signing up because of last year. Um, helloooooo, last year is OVER, I'm new, give me a chance! I'm not going to worry about it, whatever will be will be. I did get quite a few to sign up and it's going to be fine. You can't please everyone and I don't give a flying fuck anyway. LOL MWH had a locker drama but it's all resolved now I hope. She's taking 2 Pre AP classes, I fear she's taking on a lot but she's a smart kid. She'll be fine. While I was there I had little to no cell phone reception and my (half) sister called me to tell me her mother had died. So sad. I didn't really know her mom but I know she loved her dearly. My sister is due next month and is having contractions and all kinds of complications, she did not need this right now. I feel so bad for her......
On a lighter note, Bob and I took MWH to The Swimmin' Hole in Joplin yesterday. I'm so surprised we'd never been there before! It kinda sucks we didn't go earlier this year, but that's ok, there is always next summer too. We're going back next weekend too and taking some friends. I'd heard bad things about the place so we just never went but then we got invited on an "outing" and we went. The water seemed cold at first but it was ok. My only complaints (ok, you know I have to bitch) is that the water was so filthy, leaves, bugs, pine-tree pines and so on..... ewwwwww and that the concrete was too damned hot. My feet are still sore! UGH!
We also took MWH to Old Navy to see if there were any school clothes left, she didn't need much really, just something different...... We found it. She's happy, I'm happy and it's all good.
It's time to get off my butt and on the laundry, dishes and other mundane crap I need to do. More later!

Rumors, they are among us
Last week, I met with the Principal at my daughter's school. I'm the PTSO President this year and I wanted to sit down with him to have a face to face. I wanted to know what was/is expected of me and what he hopes to accomplish this year.
Basically, I found out that he wants to phase out the end of year promotion (kinda like a graduation), he also doesn't seem too keen on having a PTSO in the first place. Sheesh, it sounds like this is NOT going to be fun. LOL
While discussing the promotion, he asked me about my planned benefit. I gave him a generic blank stare and asked him if he meant fund raiser, I was thinking candy bars or wrapping paper or T-shirts, something simple and mundane (yes, something right up my alley). He said something to the effect of sure, whatever you wanna call it...... Then he said Rascal Flatts. Again me with the blank look. I'm thinking hey, he knows Rascal Flatts! WOO HOO! Awesome, he's helping me on my first year, this is going to be GREAT!!!!!!! Then he proceeds to tell me that I knew someone from Rascal Flatts and was going to have them do a benefit to fund the promotion. Hot damn, I. Am. Good. So, as soon as I picked my chin off the ground I told him I didn't know anyone from Rascal Flatts, I could not spin straw into gold, sqeeze blood out of turnips nor could monkeys fly outta my ass.
Amazing...... I love rumors.

IIIIIIII'm gonna take that mountain......
I'm listening to Launchcast and Reba is singing her country twang. It kinda fits me today. I feel good, like I could conquer anything today. Bring it on. LOL
The weatherman says it might rain today, that is such good news since I didn't water my flower bed last night. Bob and I went out to High Winds for our free play but the IGT machines were messed up so we never got our free play. I did however put some more money in my favorite machine and *ding, ding, ding* I hit again! WOO HOO! I put in $20 (I was playing it down to $10 and stopping, really, MWH wanted some J&W custard) and pulled out $167.25. WOO HOO! Bob hit three banks in a row on Penny Lane and did well too. Between Tuesday and Wednesday nights I now have enough for my Jeep tags! YIPPEE!!!!!
My friend Cruella is having her surgery today, I'm sure hoping things go well for her, lots of good wishes and prayers!

Tuesday Night Drivel
Last night after work, I got a phone call from a lady I had called. I'd been putting the conversation off for a while until I talked to Bob, I wanted to make sure we were on the same page. Nothing overly important time wise, just long range life-planning kinda stuff. Well, I get off the phone and the discussion/argument ensues.
It's a very common argument, over the past 17 years we've cussed and discussed this type of matter repeatedly. Same story different day. Basically, in a nutshell, he was hot, tired and just beat from working 10 hours in 100+ degree heat. He can't physically or mentally take in much right after work, he needs to relax, cool down and collect his bearings. This is how he is, good or bad, it doesn't matter, it is what it is, but let me tell you, yesterday it fucking hit me like a ton of bricks.
I take so much shit off so many people, do this, go there, I don't need it at home and lemme tell ya, I'm not putting up with it from now on, at home or elsewhere.
So, after the discussion I had to go to Wal-Mart and get some pictures from MWH's camp experience and when I came back he was kissin' my ass like never before. It's amazing how nice he can be when he knows he has screwed up. Granted, I'm not perfect, he was partly right about some of the things he said about me, and I him, but when he (or anyone) starts in with "you always" or "you never" that's YOUR problem not mine. Those are your issues that you can't deal with, not mine. So in the end, Bob and I are fine, I know that he has his issues, all men do, but I have my own baggage too. Somedays things just set me off and only one of us can be mental at a time. LOL
I'm a nice person, (I actually almost didn't get this job because one of the bossmen thought I was "too nice", can you fucking believe that?) but I'm not that nice. I don't need your baggage, I don't need to hear your petty bitching, this is MY blog, this is MY life, you're welcome to leave anytime you want. I'm not your mother, sister, wife or daughter. FUCK OFF. Deal with it yourself! Don't come crying to me later and ask ME to clean up your God damned mess! I've got my own life to live and I. AM. LIVING. IT!
On a lighter note, the tree is 98% gone. All that remains is the stump. One of his work buddies came over last night with a tractor and hauled off the last of the wood and part of the trunk. That was very entertaining, he was having entirely too much fun up on that thing, hell, I was having fun watching him!
After the tree dispersal, we went to Buffalo Run for Bob's free play. I had $13 and put it in my favorite machine and got it up to $47, I cashed out hoping to hide my winnings for tags but I accidentally showed the wrong cash out ticket to Bob so he knew but since I was officially the Queen for the millenium he was just grateful I didn't lose my $13. We left there and went to High Winds for the Bounceback and I cashed out with $4 of their $10 and played another of my favorite machines and got it up to $121.xx. All in about 3 minutes. I nearly fell over. I had been playing another machine and it didn't do anything so I switched, a man sat down at my prior machine, put in $5 and it hit a red spin on his first spin. I told him I had done that and as he was chatting with me I hit two 7's and a bonus (I can't remember what it's called, not a Money Bags, but similar). WOO HOO! I never got a red spin but I was soooooooo not complaining! I cashed out and kept playing. All in all, I cashed out with $150 and I think that's incredible considering I only started with $13!
Tomorrow is a special day. Tomorrow is my 3 month anniversary from having gastric bypass. I've lost about 65 pounds, actually 75 in reality, the scales I use were recalibrated/moved twice so I gained 5 pounds twice but I've lost that again (does that make sense?). A friend gave me some 18 pants and I don't know how I'll ever fit in them, but I know that I will. Probably pretty soon too considering how my skinny pants I just bought are starting to hang off of me. LOL

This is a test...
... of the Idiot Bloggers Network.
I had to stop and call Irish Divinity this morning to ask her how to strike out text while blogging. I could have asked my child who knows everything HTML, I could have just freakin' remembered from my days of back up for the Pagan Princess or I could have just figured it out on my own but did I? No, I took the easy way out and called Divinity.
Ok, here goes, let's see if it works:

Hot damn! Thank you DIVINITY!!!!!!!!!!

TMI Tuesday
Have you ever...
1. Had sex with someone ten years older or younger than you? As far as I know, no. Ewwwww. But I will admit that there were a few opportunities in my wilder years.
2. Drawn from a nude model? Actually yes. I can't draw worth a damn but I did do it once.
3. Had sex at a company Christmas party? Not at but after. Well, maybe in the parking lot. I was entirely too drunk.
4. Had a blind date? No, I've never dated anyone blind....... sheesh. LOL Actually, yes, I've been fixed up with someone I'd never met before, it turned out ok, he was nice, just new to the area. Totally not my type, but really a fun, fun guy!
5. Slept with a teacher? Slept with, yes. Fucked, no.
Bonus (as in optional): Had sex with someone within an hour of meeting them? No. I was brought up with a few morals and that is one of the few. Now, change the number of hours and you might be surprised.
